Idle No More Protest & Burma’s Kachin War, The Dark Parallel
The ‘Idle No More’ phenomena has reached epic proportions in recent weeks as indigenous people from throughout the America’s have risen to support Chief Spence and her hunger strike against Canadian tyranny. Prime Minister Steve Harper inadvertently opened up a can of worms as he deliberately showed callous disregard for the People of the First Nation and it’s all about natural resources, tribal land and the corporate bottom line. The very same thing is happening to the Kachin (Jinghpaw) People of Kachin State Burma and if you connect the dots they are directly related to one another.
Though Burma and Canada are thousands of miles apart the plights of the indigenous people in these nations share a common enemy and that is elitists and their international corporations. They are eager to exploit sovereign tribal land whence these pesky indigenous people are removed either by force or euthanized as in the case of natural resource rich Kachin State. When will Steve Harper resort to force against the People of the First Nation for his corporate handlers? There is no question native people will soon have their flesh pierced by Canadian government bullets as vested corporate interests dictate the need to euthanize them like they have in Kachin State Burma.
It is ironic to note that Canadian & American mining interests are waiting in the shadows as the Burmese government wages war against the Kachin people. The only devil being publicized is Chinese mining and oil interests but if you did your homework you would also know that Canadian and US corporations are partnered with these Chinese firms. It is also ironic that within Kachin tradition they believe that the indigenous peoples of the America’s are descendants of the eldest of 7 brothers and are their relations. Sadly they also face extermination as the Burmese Military Junta continues to murder innocent people much like the Euro-Americans did just 100 years ago. The survivors were colonized, placed on reserves and their bloodlines erased from history.
The continued military assault on Kachin Internally Displace People (IDP) who are already dying from exposure & starvation in makeshift refugee enclaves is reminiscent of the slaughter of starving and freezing Lakota People (Čhaŋkpé Ópi Wakpála) in Wounded Knee on December 29, 1890. This is the darkest of all histories repeating it self. Dare I mention the Sand Creek Massacre of my people on November 29 1864? Like in the case of the Lakota & Cheyenne, the world is only supplying lip service and only in recent days has the mainstream media begun to make mention of the wholesale genocide in Kachin State as this war reaches its 2 year anniversary. Reason being is the fact independent news sources and bloggers have managed to gain the publics eye since Burma claimed to be a budding new democracy and wants sanctions lifted.
Fact is the new civilian government of Burma is a sham since the military junta continues to control with an iron fist. Suu Kyi and Thein Sein have been neutralized, denuded of real power and are nothing more than store fronts that mask a criminal regime. General Than Shwe should receive a Nobel Peace Prize for his cleaver re-enactment of the bloody history of the America’s since he is using historic western genocidal techniques as his blueprint for eugenics in Kachin State. The sham government of Burma is reflective of the sham government of Canada since they both cater to corporate mining and oil interests at the expense of the indigenous people. Eventually the non aboriginal people of Canada will learn exactly how they are being screwed by corporations much like the American public since corporations rule the roost in the good ole USA. Treason by politicians against their respective nations has become an art form globally and investors have sold their freedom.
Globalization is Colonization but on a grand scale and eventually everyone, regardless of race or color will soon discover this reality, except for us Red Indian types since we are already colonized. Wars are being planned not for the betterment of mankind but for vested corporate interests who already have designs on many resource rich nations such as the case of Kachin State and the sovereign land of the First Nation in Canada. But the cancer does not stop there for this rush for the corporate gold has infected Central and South America as private armies assassinate all who stand in their way. Africa is another corporate killing field where corporations have raped nation after nation of natural resources leaving the people impoverished while lining the pockets of tin horn dictators who murder their own people.
Idle No More stands for the re-awakening of humanity and the defense of Mother Earth not only in Canada but for the whole planet. Everyone, regardless of skin tone, is under siege from oligarchists who have waged war on anyone that stands in the way of progress and the corporate bottom line. And it is time for everyone on the planet to be Idle No More!

President Barack Obama Shows His Mettle & Stands Tall for American Values in Burma
In a dynamic speech President Barack Hussein Obama broke the media’s code of silence, acknowledged Burma’s Secret War in Kachin State and urged Burma to stop the violence, allow freedom of religion and begin humanitarian aid. He also addressed the need for all ethnic groups to live in harmony that was reflective of the Panglong agreement. Truly this was a monumental speech and I am happy to say that I was truly smitten.
Admittedly I was pessimistic about his Asian Tour and expected the worst, thankfully and gleefully I was wrong. The fact President Barack Obama addressed Burma’s most pressing issues has made him stand taller than other American Presidents who failed to address Burma’s plight in earnest, if at all. Now the world does not have an excuse for ignoring the atrocitious activities being perpetrated against Burma’s ethnic minorities. At this juncture President Barack Obama is a trailblazer who is forging a true path for democracy in Burma. I pray the momentum he fostered continues. Granted, no sooner did his plane touched down in Burma the Tatmadaw continued their campaign of terror in Kachin State and revelations arose the Burmese Army was killing the Rohingya people during the same time period.
It must be noted that President Thein Sein did try in vane to order a ceasefire in Kachin State several times only to be rebuffed by direct orders from the Tatmadaw who mandated that troops to ignore his orders. This isolates the true root of the ethnic violence that has haunted Burma for so many years and that lays in Naypyidaw and not the will of the Bamar people. Now the ball is in the Tatmadaw’s court and if they truly want to rebuild Burma they will need to correct their policy of ‘Four Cuts & Burmanization’ against the ethnic minorities and embrace the future as a truly United Burma. Naypyidaw has a golden opportunity to stand along side President Barack Obama and be a part of this positive historic time in Burma’s history.
President Barack Obama made history in Southeast Asia and within Asian culture as a whole, he showed face and stood his ground for American values and the cause of humanity and I am very proud to be an American. The dynamic of what he, my president, just did is hard to measure at this time since violence continues in Kachin and RakhineStates but his speech will resonate throughout Burma and Asia for he planted the seed for National Reconciliation. My only hope is that he sets the pace for true democracy and not the fetid Disciplined Democracy that haunts this ancient empire. It is time for National Reconciliation. It is time to heal this nation.
Surely this will put a kink in China’s expansionism and the multi billion dollar dam projects & pipelines they are proposing with no regard for the people who live in the regions China has earmarked for construction. There is a better way to develop Burma and socio-economic growth should include every citizen of Burma. They must be a part of growth and not be cast aside like they have for so many years in the past. Personally, I know the Kachin people would entertain positive development of their natural resources and I also know they would love to live in harmony with their brothers and sisters throughout Burma, contrary to the flawed conventional wisdom the government has purported in the past. The Kachin do not hate the Bamar or any other culture, all they want is peace, live in harmony with their neighbors and allow commerce to flourish. Surely that is not too much to ask.
It’s time for the people of Burma to enter the 21st century and become a full fledged member of the global community and embrace positive change. The countless benefits are ripe for the picking if the Tatmadaw would only relinquish their iron fisted xenophobic grip on this beleaguered multi cultural society. Let Burma breath the sweet smell of true democracy and achieve the greatness this nation deserves. With an abundance of natural resources there is no excuse as to why this land lived in abject poverty for there is enough wealth within this nation to line all the streets with gold and provide fresh clean drinking water to every citizen in this nation. Economic development must work hand in hand with the rebuilding of infrastructure.
But first things first, we must stop the violence and summon a binding ceasefire in all ethnic regions NOW, not tomorrow or the next time parliament meets. People continue to die needlessly and IDP’s are dying from exposure. Open up the flood gates of international aid to quell the suffering of innocent people. Let’s face Burma’s realities and foster immediate positive change for all Burmese citizens. Let President Barack Obama’s words be the blueprint for true reform and provide justice and equality for all. Pull the troops out of Kachinland and allow the Jinghpaw to heal their wounds and save their people from impending death and disease. Stop the war of attrition being perpetrated in RakhineState and end the needless violence & death. And most important of all, allow President Thein Sein to govern as president should, allow Daw Aung Suu Kyi to be totally free from constraints imposed on her with no stipulations and release ALL the political Prisoners.
May the Land of Alaungpaya rise out of the ashes of tyranny with the second coming of the Konbaung Dynasty!
Thank You President Barack Hussein Obama

The people the western media ignores, victums of Burma’s Secret War in Kachin State
Men, women and children have continued to be slaughtered by the Burmese government over the past 1 ½ years with barely a peep from the western media. Thousands of people have been displaced and killed in relative secrecy as government troops murdered, raped and pillaged this region of Burma with no end in sight. The primary reason is the fact Kachin State is a resource rich cornucopia of oil, gas, gold, uranium, gem stones of every kind and the exalted rare earth minerals. Is this trip all about the money Mr. President? Or are you going to make REAL history and make a concerted effort to stop the blood shed in ALL ethnic regions, including Kachin State? more »

Sexually Deviant Burmese Officers Humiliate Ethnic Kachin Civilians
Burma’s President Their Sein and Parliamentarian Daw Aung San Suu Kyi traveled across America receiving accolades, awards and standing ovations for the strides Burma appears to have taken to foster democracy. Out of sight and out of the mainstream media’s eye Burmese troop have continued their onslaught against ethnic Kachin’s, raping and murdering as they advance towards Kachinland’s jade fields. With the war quietly out of sight the Burmese Army has also resorted to sexual depravity as a source of entertainment as well as population control. Who’s going to stop them and who is going to care?
Though the media picked up on the assassination attempt on Pakistani teen activist, 14 year old Malala Yousafzai this week they continued to ignore the egregious atrocities being committed against *Kachin civilians within Burma. Well, 14 year old Kachin girl, Ja Seng Ing, was dressed in her school uniform walking in plain sight and was shot to death by a government soldier but that’s OK, she’s just a minority. The Kachin War has been waging for over a year and a half now and many civilians have been raped, tortured, murdered or made into slaves. The conflict has escalated several times this past year to a full scale war perpetrated by the Burmese Army who chose to violate their own ceasefire.
It was not cool that Pakistani Malala was shot by Taliban snipers but in my minds eye both little girls should have had equal air time, at least some air time anyway. The girls were assaulted during the struggle for human rights within their respective countries. Pakistan’s Malala was shot because she dared to think outside of the box. Kachinland’s Ja Seng died walking home from school, probably thinking about a class project when she was cut down in cold blood by a cowardly soldier’s bullet. Don’t you think the plight of this innocent Kachin school girl would have warranted at least some media attention? After all we are lifting sanctions in this nation. Why is it so important for the media to conceal the war in Kachinland from the general public? Is commerce so important we should ignore the wholesale slaughter of school kids, the rape of their mothers and the butchery of their fathers? What have we devolved to, civil societally speaking?
Women flee for their lives from marauding Burmese troops who gang rape or tortured them to death daily. Ethnic men, women and children continue to disappear only to have portions of their butchered remains discovered in shallow graves or smoldering fire pits. Sexually deviant behavior by Burmese soldiers against Kachin civilians is common place if they are captured and suspected of being KIA sympathizers, but a school girl? Recently, ranking Burmese Military Security Affairs Officers savagely beat two Kachin men (Lahpai Gam & Brang Yung) with metal rods from head to toe along with other acts of torture in this perverse sado-masochistic ritual. The men were also forced to perform homosexual acts on each other while ‘Tatmadaw’s Finest’ sodomisticlly directed the floor show in deviant flair for their sexual enjoyment. Kachin civilians are beaten & tortured with impunity and gang rape is still the most revered weapon of choice by the Burmese soldiers. Some villagers are turned into porters or slaves while others simply disappear after being used for sexual purposes; men, women & children. It is the sickening reality of evil’s continued reign in Burma and a stark contradiction to all the glitzy feel good garbage the media is vomiting out to the global public. What do you expect from the ‘Planet Stupid Press’?
This is just the tip of the ice berg with regard to the barbarism and wholesale genocide being perpetrated against the Kachin and other ethnic groups in Burma. Though the Rakhine State issue bears attention the war in Kachin State has been raging for over 1 ½ years with dire consequences to the civilian populations with barely a peep from the press. 10’s of thousands of internally displaced people are living in squalor and without food, clothing, shelter and face certain death from the fast approaching winter. If they survive starvation they will surely freeze to death. The Burmese government is pouring thousands of troops into Kachinland to eliminate this tribe of people and the world is looking the other way. They will surely have Jinghpaw blood on their hands in the near future. And where is the press, looking up the skirt of a Kardashian.
Is it because the Kachin people are predominately Christians that justifies the wholesale genocide of this race of people? Why is this ongoing blood fest off the radar of the mainstream press? What has civilization become where the needs of investors, commerce and natural resources come first over the cries from victims of genocide & land theft? Where are all those weekend Christians who run their mouths about humanity now that a fellow Christian is in dire need? Apparently they have turned their backs on the Kachin as prophesied in the ‘end of times’, much like how Jesus was betrayed by his crew; “Give us 30 pieces of silver and you can kill Kachin people”. In fact, causes for humanity have taken a back burner to lusting for natural resources on a global scale. And in a way it’s a good thing, for this also marks the beginning of the end of evil’s reign over humanity, from a prophetic standpoint. But then you would have to believe in something in order to grasp the concept of prophesy and most people these days don’t even believe in themselves, just what they are told. Welcome to planet stupid where brains are only an option.
From the ‘Red Indian’ who must struggle to find sustenance and warmth in the winter months within the United States to the Kachin IDP that is facing the same plight in their homeland; humanity is under siege on a grand scale. The mainstream media has shown their corporate face and failed to report crimes against humanity on every continent on the planet. They failed in their fiduciary responsibility to report unbiased news, and not only in Burma I might add. Burma is the land of many faces but unfortunately the ethnic minorities of this totalitarian nation is not one of them. In the case of the Kachin people, they must be eliminated completely or become Burmanized (The planting of the ‘Burman Seed’ through rape) to be allowed to exist on their own sovereign land. But that’s OK since those pesky Kachin’s live on resource rich real-estate that is targeted by global mining interests anyway. They must either be colonized through Burmanization or euthanized.
Europeans had to cull those pesky ‘Red Indians’ to get at their land, gold and other natural resources so why not the Burmese Government. Ironically many Native Americans will spend another cold and bitter winter much like the Kachin IDP will endure this year. Maybe it’s this bitter irony that draws me to the plight of the Kachin. In them; I see my people running in terror as the US Cavalry makes their heroic charge with guns blazing while murdering men, women and children in the wee hours of the morning in Sand Creek Colorado. I hear the cries of the Lakota people who were slaughtered at Wounded Knee by trigger happy US Soldiers eager for a Red Indian scalp trophy. It’s like waking up from a horrific dream only to discover it was not a dream after all.
The cries of the California Valley Miwok Tribe who were under siege as corrupt politicians and land developers tried to steal their lineage and blood line still resonates in my soul. Some of the wealthiest and most powerful politicians in California wanted to build a casino so they plotted with an unscrupulous developer and a distinguished university to hijack a tribe and invent one of their own. They used their influence within the federal system to pull off this caper and would have succeeded if it were not for a tiny blunder. One conspirator in the scam accidentally posted key e-mails, communications and other damming conspiratorial evidence clearly implicating everyone all the way to employees within the federal government and I have all the files and transcripts. It was disturbing to watch as Suu Kyi was embraced by some of the corrupt US politicians who were identified in the ‘Miwok Tribe Scandal’ along with key mining interests. Yup, they are the same crooks who are ignoring the plight of the Kachin people. Aunty Suu did not have a chance for she was surrounded by corporate thugs before she ever left house arrest.
History repeats itself if we don’t learn the lessons of the past. It is funny, in a dark and twisted way, the world was just as stupid and ambivalent to the cries of my people while they were being dismembered, raped and tortured over a hundred years ago. My people were paraded around Europe like freaks or side show attractions. I hear the cries of my people within the Jinghpaw and my heart weeps for them and their endless suffering. It is clear civil society has only gleaned the art of deception & genocide from history and forgot the hard lessons taught for the sake of humanity. Unfortunately for many indigenous Americans, the Cavalry’s Bugler continues to sound ‘Gary Owen’ for many natives are still under siege. Hmm, their cries are ignored by the mainstream media as well, how special. Small wonder the Kachin War is out of sight and out of mine because the indigenous populations of the Americas are still fighting for their very existence against unscrupulous corporate interests just like the Kachin. Coincidentally, other cultures are feeling the wrath of corporate greed and soon they will join the growing ranks of the new ‘Globally Displaced People’ (GDP) who stand in the way of corporate profits.
Another irony is the fact the descendants of criminal industrialists who murdered their way into history by exterminating the ‘Natives of the Americas’ are still at the helm of corporations that continue to displace and murder indigenous people around the world. Global mining companies are waiting in the wings while Burma’s military junta does the ‘dirty work’ and euthanizes the ethnic Kachin people, plain and simple. It does not take rocket science to spot this thin veil of deception. Follow the money donated by the mining & oil industries and you will know & identify the corrupt politicians whose coffers are filled to the brim with millions in tainted blood money. Do your homework, for a change. You will not like what you find, provided you are honest with yourself. It will be revealed that the war in Kachinland is actually a microcosm of what is happening to all free thinking democratic people of all faiths around the world. It’s all about the money and damned if you dare to stand in the way of ‘progress’, for a hand full of elitists & investors.
There is no stemming the tide of absolute corruption that has encroached on humanity. It was prophesied man, his greed and his false G*D would push for a one world government at the expense of others in the final days of this cycle. The Kachin Army is fighting for their very survival against insurmountable odds in a Biblically epic tale of good against evil. The Tatmadaw continues to pour in fresh Burmese troops and supplies into the war zone. On the bright side, Burmese soldiers are discovering that the Kachin are fighting with a secret weapon at their side, absolute faith within their Christian belief system. If only other Christians walked with such sincerity and dedication as the Kachin, then maybe the world would not be so screwed up. In any event the courageous Kachin men and women soldiers march with angels and miracles continue to grace the battle field on a daily basis.
The Kachin army continues to count coup on the well supplied hordes of invading Burmese troops. The Burmese are fighting an unjust war and must be hopped up on amphetamines when they make their advances. Many Burmese have perished in this violently stupid maneuver proving the Burmese generals don’t even care for the welfare of their own troops, how far beyond stupid is that? It was said the Kachin forces simply retreated into the jungle while Burmese troops high on dope killed each other in one of many mindless drug crazed chargers. Guess the battle raged on after the Kachin forces were well out of the area. Was the Tatmadaw having a Homer Simpson moment? D’oh! In other instances the Jinghpaw just could not stomach firing on the governments inept child soldiers and chose to retreat into the bush rather than engage in what would have been a massacre of kids.
Though a few major US organizations have boasted about giving to the Kachin people very few of those donated dollars ever made it to the neediest people along the Sino/Burma Border. There are 10’s of thousands of IDP’s that have eluded the eyes of non profits organizations for a host of legitimate and illegitimate reason. It is a sure bet if humanitarian aid cash is flowing into Burma through government sponsored relief services very little is making its way to Kachinland. If any aid is getting through, it’s paltry by comparison to the shear numbers of starving and homeless families that dot the Sino/Burma border. It’s overwhelming to witness this sea of humanity and their suffering is unfathomable to conceive at best.
I know from first hand accountings, photos & videos from associates within the KIO/KIA and my brother Le Seng who makes a humanitarian pilgrimage to the outer most reaches of this epic human struggle to assist the forgotten people. He describes it like an ocean of humanity, thousands of people dotting the hillside in make-shift lean-tos, hungry and cold with nowhere else to go. Both he and I realize we can’t cure the world of all it’s ills but we can make a difference in a few lives. So with that in mind I am promoting my brothers humanitarian efforts to assist the forgotten people of Kachinland because I know he delivers the goods in earnest while risking his own life in war torn Kachinland.
Le Seng is preparing for another humanitarian mission to Kachinland but I will not be going this trip, well not as of this writing anyway. I am doing the next best thing and that is to rally the people to support this ‘Angel of Mercy’, Pastor Le Seng Labya and his humanitarian mission to Kachinland. I strongly urge everyone who reads this story to contact Le Seng and learn how you can participate in this truly noble cause and spread the word. Your dollar will directly affect the lives of innocent people in a profoundly positive way and you will save a life or two in the process. But most important of all, you will be giving the beleaguered people of Kachinland a glimmer of hope in knowing they are not forgotten and that there are people in the outside world who actually care. All donations are tax deductable and Le Seng’s church is a registered non profit organization as prescribes under 501c3 rules.
