The Dakota Access Pipeline was halted during the final months of the Obama Administration. With only a few weeks left in Obama’s term, many wondered what the incoming administration would handle the pipeline.

President Trump’s stance on Keystone and Standing Rock was made clear today by White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

“I’m not going to get in front of the President’s executive actions,” Mr Spicer said, “but I will tell you that areas like the Dakota and Keystone pipeline areas that we can increase jobs, increase economic grown, and tap into America’s energy supply. That’s something that he’s been very clear about.”

Executive Orders Revive Keystone XL and Dakota Access Pipeline Projects
No surprises here but disappointment for most. Today Donald Trump signed executive orders that would make way for the Keystone XL Pipeline and Dakota Access Pipeline to move forward, after the Keystone pipeline was rejected in 2015 by then President Obama and the Dakota Access project halted by Army Corps of Engineers in December.

As you can see Trump is already crowing about all the construction jobs this will create. Really curious about this clause here mentioned in his speech- “subject to terms and conditions to be negotiated by us.”
